Every vote contributes to the success of the festival. If we didn't have voters, there'd be no festival! So we thank-you for your expertise as an official judge! 

Every vote is an entry into a draw for a $100 gift card to Springbank Cheese as a thank-you for taking a minute to vote!  🙏  

You can vote each time you order a mac & cheese dish. Voting opens the first day of the festival and closes after the last day of the festival.  Votes are tallied and the winning restaurants are announced in early February.

You betcha! Every festival attendee who makes an IG feed post (photo or reel) during the festival tagging us @yyc.macandcheesefest is entered to win a $250 flight voucher to the airline of their choice.  A random draw will be done after the festival's close.

The main award is "best" which is evaluated on overall flavour and taste of the dish. We will reveal the top 3 restaurants who win this category post-festival.  We are also considering adding on best value and most creative as award categories.

Me too! 😄 Following the announcement of the top restaurants you are encouraged to visit to try their award winning dish post-festival. 🏆 It is up to the individual restaurants how long they decide to keep the Mac & Cheese dish on their menu. (We will try to announce it on our socials though)!
